Austin Impact Internship Program

St. Edward's University has partnered with local Austin-area employers and developed a summer internship program to match you with meaningful internships that match your career interests and skills. This program will provide you with valuable professional skills and experience to add to your resume, test out potential industries of interest, and build your network in the Austin area. Applying to the Austin Impact Internship Program will give you the opportunity to potentially interview for multiple internship opportunities with a single application. If selected to participate in the Austin Impact Internship Program you will receive specialized preparation to help you stand out in the hiring process including resume and interview support.

These are paid internships, some offering housing allowances and occur during Summer of 2023. No internships will be running during the Fall 2023 semester, although successful interns may be offered to continue on.

What to Expect:
  •    Work between 20-28 hours a week throughout your internship
  •    Attend all professional development, training, and check-ins sessions
  •    Establish goals and expectations with your supervisor
  •    Collaborate with team and gain hands-on experience with special projects as needed
               
Qualifications:
  •   Strong written and verbal communication skills
  •   Willingness to learn new processes and procedures
  •   Desire to provide high level customer service
  •   Adaptability and desire to absorb new information and take direction quickly

Program Requirements:
  • You will be required to attend an Austin Impact Resume Workshop and an Austin Impact Interviewing Workshop
  • You must be able to attend the Interview Days are March 24 and March 31, 2023

Specific partners and internship job descriptions will be shared with applicants at least one week prior to the March Interview Days.

This is a selective process and a cohort of students will be chosen for this position. Coaching and training will be provided by the Career and Professional Development Office prior to interviews on campus March 24 and 31.
